September's New Releases

September is shaping up to be one of the more interesting months of 2026 for premium cigar releases. With InterTabac taking place in Dortmund, Germany, manufacturers are using the month to introduce new blends, international exclusives, limited editions, and unusual extensions of established brands. For cigar smokers, September has already delivered several releases worth keeping an eye on.

Crowned Heads is introducing Starwood, a new event-exclusive cigar inspired by Nashville's former Starwood Amphitheater. Starwood comes in a 5 x 50 Robusto and uses an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe. Production is handled by NACSA in Nicaragua. Unlike a normal retail release, Starwood will only be available through select Crowned Heads events, giving collectors another limited cigar to hunt down.

Aganorsa Leaf is also making noise this month with Supreme Leaf Worldwide. The new blend takes the popular Supreme Leaf name in a more globally focused direction. It uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos grown in Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa. Two sizes are being introduced, a 5 7/8 x 52 Cañonazo and a 4 7/8 x 50 Robusto Clásico. The cigar will initially launch internationally following its InterTabac debut, with a United States introduction planned for the 2027 PCA trade show.

Hoyo de Monterrey has another noteworthy September arrival with the New Legends Sampler. The four-cigar pack includes Hoyo Rojo, Oscuro, and Shade, but the real attraction is an early look at the new Le Hoyo. The blend features a Honduran OSA wrapper, U.S. Broadleaf binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Honduras. Le Hoyo is currently available as a Toro through the sampler, with a larger three-size release planned. The sampler is shipping to retailers during September.

Drew Estate is celebrating its 30th anniversary with two DE30 Limited Edition sampler packs featuring previously unreleased sizes of several familiar blends. The Supremas Pack includes Liga Privada H99, Herrera Estelí Habano, and Nica Rustica in 6 x 50/54 figurados. A second Feral Flying Pig pack brings together Herrera Estelí Maduro, Undercrown, and Liga Privada H99 in the distinctive Flying Pig format.

September is also bringing something different from La Aurora. Its new Cazadores Flavors line includes Brown, Blond, and Caribbean versions built around tobacco combinations from the existing Cazadores family. Offered in Robusto and Toro sizes, the cigars are positioned at roughly $6 to $6.25 each, making them one of the month's more approachable releases.

There is still plenty of September left, and InterTabac will almost certainly bring additional announcements. So far, the month has delivered everything from boutique event cigars and international releases to anniversary samplers and affordable flavored options. For cigar smokers who enjoy trying something new, September 2026 is giving us plenty to put on the radar.
